Best 5 Photo Viewer Applications for Windows

The photo viewer is one of the few applications offered by default with Windows. This application to view photos or images in Windows XP or Seven was smooth and fast enough. But I didn't like the Photo Viewer app in Windows 10 at all. Seemed relatively slow and quite low feature-rich.

So, from the beginning, I was looking for a good photo viewer. I also found a bunch of photo viewer applications for the benefit of the Internet. But let's talk about 5 photo viewers who seemed to be the best of them today. Finally, I'll personally be my choice and talk about what I'm using now.

Top 5 Photo Viewers for Windows

Here are the top 5 photo viewer selection issues, how fast it works, how few resources it uses, how many smooth, and how many basic functions are involved. These photos will find a lot of similarities in MacOS photo viewer. Let's look at the photo viewers without prolonging the conversation.

5. Honeyview

The makers described it as a fast-placed, powerful and free image viewer on the official website. And that's really what it is. This 7.5 MB software seems ideal to me for low-end computers.

The user interface is much like the previous Windows Photo Viewer. But there's a bit of a difference that I like.

The software has EXIF data viewing facility with GPS location of the picture in JPEG  format. This allows you to resize many pictures at a time,  as well as convert file formats.

You can also view images from archive files like ZIP, RAR, TAR,  CBZ. That's why you don't have to extract files. Honeyview supports several popular formats including BMP, JPG, GIF, PNG, PSD, DDS, JXR, WebP.

4. IRFANVIEW

This is one of the oldest photo viewers created for the Windows operating system. The user interface continues to bear that testimony.

However,  as it may look, there is no chance to ignore it as a photo viewer. Excellent fast and smooth this photo viewer has basic photo editing tools.

Many users have been using it for a long time for effective and abundant features. Irfanview Photo Viewer can show photos directly from your scanner.

This allows you to cut a picture and create panorama photos. It also has OCR facilities. All the features of basic image editing remain.

Photo viewer supports all image formats. It has several useful tools like brushes, lines, or shakes to draw or highlight the picture.

3. FastStone Image Viewer

Talking about the top 5 photo viewers in Windows, you have to talk about FastStone image viewers. This popular photo viewer app is also quite old like Irfanview.

This photo viewer app with a bunch of useful features may not be your choice at first sight. But if you're having fun using it, it will be difficult for you to move to another photo viewer.

It allows you to do all basic image editing work, including making light color adjustments. Much like a windows file explorer, the navigation system is FastStone image viewer. As a result, you can easily file and manage your photos.

Faststone Image Viewer supports all popular formats including JPEG, GIF, PNG, GIF, RAW, and  PSD.

2. IMAGEGLASS

IMAGEGLASS is a light-thin great fast open-source photo viewer. The user interface is also quite excellent. There is no complication.

It also has some great basic photo editing tools. Without any hassle, slide shows can be performed in IMAGEGLASS, including photo cropping,  rotating,  flipping (image-making).

This photo viewer can be a good choice for everyone from ordinary users to professional users. It supports over 70 file formats in GIF, JPG, PNG, WEBP, SVG, AVIF, JP2.

1. Movavi Photo Manager

The reason why Movavi Photo Manager is at No. 1 on this list is that it is as spectacular as it is a  performance.  The above applications are lightweight, fast, and powerful, but the user interface is simple enough. Compared to that,   it has a premium Movavi Photo Manager 60 MB.

You can view pictures as well as sort by location or date. The app is full of great features, including adding tags,  editing a lot of pictures, finding duplicate photos.

However, the problem is that you have to spend money to enjoy all its features. A free version can be downloaded and used, but the number of features there is limited.

PICASA

Let's talk about the photo viewer I like. This google developed app is the best photo viewer app I have ever seen for Windows.

There's nothing really to say about Picasa. Only those who have used it will understand. Picasa is enough to understand that photo viewers can be excellent. If you haven't used Picasa yet,  condolences to you.

Here are almost all of the features I've talked about, including photo editing. There are also face recognition features in Picasa. So you can see all the pictures of the same person scattered on your computer in the same place.

Sadly, in 2014, Google shut down the   Picasa program completely. Google Photos is a cloud-based application. Earlier versions, including the latest version of Picasa, can currently be downloaded from the third-party website.

If you want to use Picasa, you can download it from the download link below. The link is from the popular third-party application download website Uptodown.

The software here is usually free of viruses or malware. Yet it is best to download software from the official website forever. Since Picasa currently does not have an official download link, I am giving a link to the third-party website.

Online security is most important to us. To our knowledge the link is safe. However,  don't click if you have any hesitation in your mind. Searching Google may find another way to get the Picasa software.
